The third meeting between Grove and Skiatook resulted in the Ridgerunners having their best game against the Bulldogs.

Both of the previous meetings between these two teams have ended in wins for the Ridgerunners, the first game was a 51-49 overtime win, while the second game was a 59-50 win for Grove.

Grove 74, Skiatook 31

The Ridgerunners outscored the Bulldogs in every quarter.

The first quarter ended with a score of 16-4 in favor of Grove.

In the second, the Ridgerunners scored nineteen, while Skiatook scored ten, giving the game a halftime score of 35-14.

The third quarter was Grove's best, as the team scored twenty-two. Eleven of those points came from Tommy Horton. The Bulldogs only scored ten, pushing the score to 57-24.

In the fourth, Grove kept the scoring going, racking up seventeen more points, as Trimble put the remainder of his bench in with 3:30 left in the game. Skiatook managed to put up seven, but it wouldn't be enough and Grove took home the 74-31 win.

Grove's scoring was led by Dillan Miller who had 19, Horton who had 17 and Brady Phillips who had 15.

The Bulldogs top scorer was Gavin Jackson, who had eight. Braiden Blackwell and Casen Lester who each had five.

The Ridgerunners are set to face the sixteenth-ranked Tahlequah Tigers on Tuesday, January 31. The Tigers are 10-8 and the last meeting of the two teams left Grove on the losing side of a 38-30 score. Only three Ridgerunner athletes scored during the last game, Miller, Phillips and Horton.

In their last five games, the Tigers have won two and lost three. They placed seventh in the Port City Classic in Catoosa, losing to both Edison (76-57) and Bishop Kelley (50-32) before besting Cascia Hall 42-30.
