The Skiatook Bulldogs 3-0 continued a dominant season against Tulsa Hale, putting on an offensive clinic in the first half as they climbed up to a 35-0 lead at the break, and they maintained it in the second half, winning 41-6. It was a game in which the Bulldogs were firing on all cylinders. The defense was smothering all night long, and the offensive attack was sharp both through the air and on the ground. Cody Evans aired the ball out for three touchdowns in the first half: two deep scores to Jayden Garner in the first half, the duo connecting on scores of 61 and 64 yards, and he also hit Reece Womack on a 18-yarder. On the ground, Greydon Jackson found the endzone twice, scoring from 10 yards out both times. After the offensive fireworks of the first half, the second half looked a little different. The seasoned Skiatook starters were replaced with more inexperienced reserves, who logged some valuable in-game action throughout the second half. That said, Skiatook’s high-flying scoring attack was diminished through the next two quarters of action. Both teams went scoreless in the third, carrying the 35-0 spread into the fourth. The fourth quarter saw both teams get on the board. First, Hale managed to score midway through the quarter on a 39 yard run from Kareen Meeks, but the Bulldogs answered on the very next offensive play: Alex Johnson scored on a 62 yard run, and although a two-point conversion failed, this gave Skiatook a 41-6 lead. The game ended with this spread. Skiatook managed to follow a very wet, somewhat sloppy victory from week two up with a much more dominant victory in week three, and the undefeated Bulldogs seem to be gaining traction headed into the midway stretch of the season. Next week the Pryor Tigers visit the Bulldogs for homecoming.
